  •  Re-build a Big Foot Camper (Alberta): 09/2024 – 03/2023

While i was working for Fortress they let me work on their workshop building a Camper for my future travels. The winter was quiet so i was working mostly in finishing my project.

I arrived to Canada Last May, short after got hired and got on a plane to northern Manitoba where i worked building a water treatment plant in Split lake. After that project was finished we moved on to oil fields work in Fort Mc Murray and around the SK border with Alberta. You can find pictures of my work in the portfolio Canada Folder.

  • Working at home proyects: (Argentina) 06.2023 - 05.2024:

Since i spent so long working in Australia. I went back to Argentina last year before my trip to canada so i can help my father. Landscaping, river dam construccion, welding a garage, various decks. You can see the pictures in my portfolio, under the working at home section. 

  •  Hully (SA): 02/2022 – 05/2023

BRIDGE work, leading Hand. building a doble lane main bridge in Port Augusta. I joined at the first stages of the project. I had my own team and worked as a leading hand thanks to my previous bridge experience. Headstocks, link slabs, decks, stitch of the parapets. After that I was leading the expansion joint, a total of 8 in the whole bridge. The bridge is over 20 spans and goes over the water. After we finished the first bridge, they opened traffic and we started working reparing the old bridge. You can see pictures of the whole job in my portfolio.

Formworker at a new mine site. Koodaderi, a new RIO TINTO Iron Ore mine. Ive arrived at the end of the project, so far I have been working building pedestals and structural slabs for water treatment plant, drainages, transfers stations, grouting steel structures, etc. Bits and pieces of concrete around the whole site, we are also doing all the concreting side and steel fixing. Working with high standards of safety.

Formworker: MINE extension construction. Working at SOLOMON (FMG) with centrals as a formworker. Its a new extension of the mine. We built a new LV workshop, HV workshop. Washout bays, welding bay, Tire bay, Admin offices, storm drainages, ect. Ive been involved in the formwork, steelfixing and fitout of the offices. The scope of work is been very wide since there is a lot of components. The project is now coming to an end.

Carpenter / Formworker

BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION. Worked as a Formworker at a new bridge in Gunnedah. The bridge consists of 7 spans that are 2 lanes for traffic and a foot walk. Since the bridge is place over the river we were working on suspended steel platforms. The bridge is pretty complex because of it steep angle but also crown and gradient. Only the Super T and Parapets were Precast, all the rest of the super Structures (including 2 big 10 Mts high Bladewalls) where all form by us the Formworkers.

Carpenter / Formworker

BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION. Worked as a Formworker for the Pacific Complete upgrade (Section 6). I was working in Shark creek, a 800 mts long bridge, consisting of 25 headstocks and 2 abudments. Shark creek is the 3rd biggest bridge of the whole project, but the one with less precast concrete. Therefore, we made all the headstock and columns. Cross guertas, expansion joints, decks, link slabs, etc.

Residential Carpentry. Mainly renovations and new extensions in the Byron Area. Respected Builder, with a good eye for details. During the time working together I’ve been the leading hand in the projects assign, having up to 3 laborers and an apprentice in charge. 3 renovations between around the 100k type. Commercial and residential builder. More than a year and a half working as a full time carpenter for this massive builder. During that time I was working on a number of projects: 32 Bay Rd Sandrinham - 4 unit above shop front, CFA Frankston Refurbishment, Heatherbrae Sports Pavilion Officer, 1307 Toorak Rd Camberwell 4 townhouse build on basement. Work included but was not limited to the following:

  • Setting out of concrete slab formwork

  • Setting out of timber wall framing

  • Erection/dismantle formwork and prep substrate for footings, slabs, pavement ramps

  • Installing, straightening and modifying timber wall frames

  • Erecting ceiling frames and installing access panels

Internal and external cladding. Staircases, balustrades, pergolas, decks, fences. To make money back home we try to do as many trades as you can. So we where also tiling and painting a lot of the renovations we where doing.
