Rafael Marin

My name is Rafael Marín. I’m an Argentinian carpenter who moved to Australia at 22 and am now building my life and career in Canada. I’ve travelled and worked in a wide range of environments, which forces you to learn fast — it’s made me adaptable, practical, and quick at reading a jobsite. When I’m not working, I enjoy building my own projects. I’m hands-on, and everything you’ll see in my portfolio comes from that same drive to build, fix, and push forward.

I’ve worked in civil, mining, commercial, and residential builds — and wherever I go, I bring the same approach: show up early, work hard, keep my work area clean and organized, and take ownership of what I’m doing. I solve problems, keep momentum, and make sure things are ready when they need to be.

Right now I’m working in Nipawin with Fortress Construction. I hold valid Canadian work authorization until mid next year, and my goal is to continue my future in Canada through Saskatchewan’s immigration process. To do that, I’m looking for a Saskatchewan-based employer where I can commit for at least one year, contribute steadily, and meet the program requirements. Tyson (my current boss) knows my plan — he’s sad to see me move on, but he understands the situation and is fully supportive. He’s happy to take any reference calls (403-597-4412) and speak about the kind of worker I am.

I’m here in Saskatchewan, flexible on short notice, and ready to work. Hopefully we get the chance to meet — and if we do, you’ll see right away the kind of worker I am. And if you want a better picture of what I can do, have a look at my portfolio — it shows the kind of projects I build and the skills I bring to a crew
